// A Note To October // an acrostic poem
Obedience to the Creator must be easy when He asks you to keep showing up with this much beauty in the world –
Captivating and calling us to worship, yes, October, your works point us to the Creator. All of creation receives His amazing grace.
Thank you, October, for the soul-awakening within us as we receive the gift of blazing canopies illuminating against your soft, gray skies,
Oh, and let me not forget your sunsets; the pleasing glow of the pinkish-coral skies, surrounded by the hues of October-periwinkle. They are surely glimpses of Heaven.
Beguiling tree-lined streets littered with the kaleidoscope of fallen leaves mesmerize with this extravagant ceremony of the season, as we transition into November’s barrenness.
Ethereal spider webs dripping in diamonds from your dawn’s dew, as lovely as they are, don’t compare to the whole of you, October.
Reverence, yes, this is how you show your reverence for your Creator, oh gloriously beautiful October. He lavishes you, you lavish us which honors Him. Let us then, in gathering all of your faithful goodness, be reminded to do the same.
