Your reflection also reminds me of an image I read about in a book, I need to find it – it might of been a Tim Keller! – referring to a beautiful tapestry, but when you look at the back, you see all the ties and knots and “mess” behind the creation – how it is created – and yet there you have your masterpiece on the surface. The finished result.
