Kelly- I love your acute thoughtfulness, particularly on the bullet "Want to rush past hard." That's a tough one for most. So I enjoyed your transparency here.

Thank you, Thalia. I appreciate that your comment sent me back to my post to reread it and consider my own advice, again. It's always a work in progress, isn't it? Thank you for reading!

You’re right, Kelly. But I suppose work in progress is better than no progress? :)

Kelly, this spoke to me so deeply. I have gone into 2024 a bit down, weary. Wondering if God will heal our fractured family. Your wisdom and honesty is such good medicine to my heart. Thank you. ...(and admittedly I have been horribly sick with a severe sinus infection 😭) I am being patient with myself though. ox

Oh Deborah, I'm holding you in my prayers and thoughts right now. I am slow to respond so I'm hoping you're feeling a little better, my friend. I'm so glad this resonated with you - well, glad not glad, right? Not glad for the circumstances. I will be working on a project this year that the LORD has me focusing on about healing THROUGH the storm...because I realized one day I can't just keep waiting til it's over before I begin my healing work - for us, it's been almost 7 years and it's only gotten worse. If like tartar on our teeth (I have no idea why this was the first example that came in my mind, gross) we let the pain keep building up, that cavity will surely appear. Same with our hearts...the build up only causes callouses...I decided I needed to focus on healing through it...not waiting til after it was over. Anyway, I hope to generously share my wisdom in this area as it's certainly something I've had a lot of practice trying. Come along with me.

Lord, we know you work all things for good but sometimes your good feels hard and scary and lonely and unfair. Father, I pray that you bring comfort to Deborah as she navigates these storms in her family. We can't understand why these things happen, Lord, but we put ourselves through so much pain trying to figure it out. Father, I pray you will bring supernatural peace to her mind and soul. And Lord, I pray for her family, for healing of hearts and relationships. We trust you, God, and we love you. We pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

Kelly,

this made big tears well up in my eyes. I resonate with your words and your story so much. Thank you for your wisdom, honesty and beautiful prayer. God is so good and we are so impatient to understand the way in which He works at times.

I pray His peace and healing power to come over you, your husband and your precious children. I pray a hedge of protection around you all, as He goes into the fray for you. I pray for miracles of healing and for medical professionals, with big hearts, to come into your lives and renew your hopes and dreams for your family and their wellness. Amen.

I feel so blessed to make new friendships within the Christian artist community. Yours is a beautiful one and one that has truly touched my soul. I am carrying your heart as well and hope that you do continue to create to live and live to create. Not only are you following God's purpose for your life but you are helping others find healing in the process. oxoxox
